Two helicopters collided this Saturday near the Eura airport zone, in southwest Finland, according to Finnish police in a statement. The rescue teams located remains of both devices in a wooded area about 100 meters from each other.
The helicopters covered a route between Tallin, in Estonia, and Piikajärvi, in Kokemäki (Finland). According to the flight plan received by the police, two people were in a helicopter and three in the second. Everyone has died.
Police indicated that the number of deaths and the identities of passengers are still being investigated.
The Public Radio of Estonia, Er Er, quoted the Estonian Ministry of Exteriors indicating that all the passengers died in the accident, which occurred shortly after noon.
According to several local media, in the helicopters they were traveling, among others, two entrepreneurs and the woman of one of them. The Estonian newspaper ‘Postimees’ has reported that passengers were Estonian entrepreneurs who went to a playful event in which about 20 aircraft and half a hundred attendees were expected.
