The head of the anti-drug brigade of the National Police of Valladolid, Luis F., was arrested this Thursday morning in the framework of an operation against drug trafficking for allegedly keeping part of the confiscated caches. The senior police officer is the partner of Marta Sanz, mayor and spokesperson for the PP in Arroyo de la Encomienda, municipality of the Alfoz de Valladolid, where both lived in a home that has been searched by the agents in the operation.
Sources close to the case and the marriage claim that the detainee had a high lifestyle and members of the Valladolid Police Station claim that they did not find it particularly surprising that the man has been detained for an issue like this, coordinated by the Investigative Court 3 of Valladolid and following orders from the Madrid police departments.
The action took place this Thursday morning with the arrival of the National Police at the home of the head of the anti-drug brigade in the capital of Castilla y León, a house that has been inspected for evidence before taking the senior police officer into custody, presumably for keeping part of the drug seizures carried out by his colleagues. The device has also entered the Las Delicias police station, whose lockers have been inspected. Police sources specify that the detainee was also the security coordinator within the Police for the soccer matches played at the José Zorrilla stadium, of Real Valladolid.
The Subdelegation of the Government of Valladolid has admitted that a broad operation against narcotic substances and their trafficking has been carried out in the capital of Castile and León, but they have not specified who is involved in a police process that includes five reports.
A little over a year ago, in November 2024, the Internal Affairs Unit arrested another senior official of the National Police also for his alleged relationship with drug trafficking. The person arrested was the head of the Economic and Fiscal Crime Unit (UDEF) of Madrid, Óscar SG, who was in charge of crimes related to money laundering. The police officer had 19 million euros stored in bags of 500 and 50 bills, which he had walled up in his home.
