The price of gas shoots up 8% after the break in negotiations
The price of natural gas for one-month delivery in the TTF market of the Netherlands, the reference market in Europe, soared 8.60% this Monday, to 47.66 euros per megawatt hour (MWh), after the negotiations between the United States and Iran ended without an agreement and President Donald Trump announced the blockade of maritime traffic in and out of Iranian ports through the Strait of Hormuz starting at 4:00 p.m. Spanish time this Monday.
The price of gas reached 49.52 euros at the opening, although it later stabilized at 47.66. Likewise, the price of Brent crude oil, the reference in Europe, rose 6.88% to $101.74. (Efe)
