The Organization of Consumers and Users (OCU) has denounced Ticketmaster before the General Sub -Directorate of Inspection and Sanctioning Procedure of the Ministry of Consumer Consumption for the collection that it considers “irregular and abusive” of the tickets on-line at the Bad Bunny concerts planned in Barcelona and Madrid. The Puerto Rican singer will offer twelve concerts in Spain, two in Barcelona and Ten in Madrid: May 22 and 23 at the Stadi Olimpic in Barcelona; May 30 and 31, 2, 3, 6, 7, 10, 11, June 14 and 15 at the Metropolitan Stadium in Madrid.
Since the entrance presale of these concerts will begin, many buyers entered the websites in which they can be acquired, and, according to the OCU, they found that there were up to three non -refundable concepts: management expenses, donation and VIP position. According to the OCU, an entrance with a minimum cost of 79.50 euros increases its price to 269.30 euros by joining three additional expenses: 3.30 euros for donation, 36.50 euros for management expenses and 150 euros per additional VIP charge.
This complaint of the OCU adds to others from the organization to impact the user, and not the seller, the management expenses in the final price; expenses that are usually hidden until almost the same moment of payment. In addition, he denounces that the company does not consider them reimbursable, so the user loses any right to recover their amount in case it is forced to request a change or a return. The OCU also criticizes the fact that they are dynamic prices that vary “depending on the market”, without clarifying what factors they influence exactly and to what extent, and therefore asks that a rule be approved for them to regulate them
