The governor of the American Federal Reserve Lisa Cook has filed a lawsuit against President Donald Trump on Thursday for trying to cease her. Cook, appointed by the administration of Joe Biden, alleges that the Republican lacks authority to dismiss it, in a case that opens what is promised a hard legal battle on the independence of the Central Bank.
