
A gas pipe, a Urvan truck and a passenger truck collided on Wednesday morning at kilometer 28 of the Cuacnopalan-Oaxaca supercarretera, in the section of Tehuacán, Puebla. This accident caused the death of at least 21 people, 18 of them in the place and three more in the hospital, according to Samuel Aguilar Pala, Secretary of the Interior of Puebla, in addition to reporting several injured. At least one of the deceased was a minor.
According to local media, the passenger truck hit the pipe that allegedly presented mechanical failures and occupied the opposite lane. On the path of the pipe was also the truck that suffered the most significant blow.
Most of the fatalities were traveling in the truck, which began their trip from the municipality of Tehuacán. The injured people were transferred to the Tehuacán hospital, while the bodies of the fatal victims were sent to the capital of the state of Puebla, since in the municipality of Tehuacán there were no legist doctors available to certify the death.
