The draw for the round of 16 of the Copa del Rey will be held this Wednesday in the Ciudad del Fútbol of Las Rozas starting at 1:00 p.m. And, for the first time since the implementation of the current format, the Federation will maintain an exclusive drum in this round for the teams competing in the Spanish Super Cup.
As happened in the last round, in the round of 32, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atlético de Madrid and Athletic, teams that will face the Spanish Super Cup in Arabia from today, will be paired with teams from the Second Division, from LaLiga Hypermotion that remain standing in the tournament. Namely: Deportivo de la Coruña, Cultural Leonesa, Albacete, Racing de Santander and Burgos. The other second They will also face a First Team that is still in the competition: Elche, Real Sociedad, Valencia, Osasuna, Alavés, Betis and Rayo Vallecano. It should be noted that the five teams from the second tier of Spanish football will play the tie on their field and that in the other pairings between the First Division teams there will be a draw for who plays at home.
From the quarterfinals onwards, the draw will be pure and any pairing may occur, whether they are First or Second teams.
