An unpublished incident overwhelmed Havana in the early hours of Monday: the balance of a dead and eight injured after the driver of a car was running over them, little by little, through its journey through the capital municipalities of Centro Habana and Havana Vieja, according to an official statement from the Ministry of Interior (Minint).
During the outrage, which took place around 2:30 in the morning local time, a 35 -year -old woman died and eight other injured people remain receiving medical care. All, according to the disseminated information, were on public roads in the “different places” in which the driver went on them.
Although other types of details about the event are still unknown, the authorities reported that the author of the events, who is detained, is a foreign citizen resident in the country. At the moment “it is under investigative process, and work to clarify the circumstances of this unfortunate fact,” says the official note.
