A 57-year-old Alicante has been investigated after drunk driving about 28 kilometers in the opposite direction by the A-31, at the height of Almansa (Albacete), as reported by the Civil Guard.
The Command of the Albacete Armed Institute has reported in a press release that the Emergency Service, which serves the 112 phone, communicated to the Traffic Operation Alicante
Given these calls, the service patrols close to the area, some for the detection of the vehicle and others to guarantee the safety of the rest of the users. In this way, quickly a Patrol of the Civil Guard of Traffic managed to detect the vehicle circulating in the opposite direction on the highway, but its driver ignored the high signs through the optical and acoustic systems, so a follow -up began several kilometers.
At the time of identifying the driver, the agents appreciated that it could be under the influence of alcoholic beverages, something that they confirmed when performing the breathalyzer test, which threw a 0.59 mg of alcohol per liter of exhaled air, thus doubling the maximum alcohol rate allowed for tourism conductors set at 0.25 mg/l.
The driver of the vehicle has been charged two alleged crimes against road safety, one for driving a motor vehicle in a manifestly reckless way, endangering the life and physical integrity of people, and another for driving a motor vehicle under the influence of alcoholic beverages
