The general secretary of the PSOE of Extremadura and president of the Diputación de Badajoz, Miguel Ángel Gallardo, will be incorporated as a deputy to the Extremadura Assembly. The leader has transmitted the decision this Friday, after the interparliamentary meeting held in Mérida and has assured that the regional chamber is the best place “to combat the government” of the popular María Guardiola.
Gallardo is investigated in the case that against David Sánchez, brother of the president of the Government, instructs a court of Badajoz for having allegedly irregularly obtained a high position in the Pacense deputation and for having mediated later for a former former Palace of La Moncloa who was a friend of his job in the same institution.
The Secretary General PSOE of Extremadura has highlighted that the decision is merely political and that he has made the decision to be part of the assembly since the security that it is “the best way to express to Extremadura the interest in them” and to “face an executive who is privatizing childhood education from zero to three years or that clearly attacks health.”
Asked about how he can affect his entry into the assembly to the open judicial case on hiring in the Badajoz Diputación of Sánchez’s brother, Gallardo has pointed out that the cause follows his channel, while he has specified that “it does not imply immunity to be in the Assembly of Extremadura”.
However, the regional deputy position does enjoy reforation. In fact, in the Socialist Parliamentary Arch in the Assembly, Antonio Garrote has a seat, which was responsible for the Human Resources Area of the Badajoz Diputación when David Sánchez was hired. Garrote has not had to declare throughout the open cause due to their quality as achor, a couple to their status as a regional parliamentarian.
Gallardo recalled that a while ago he had already transmitted that his intention was to enter the Assembly once the judicial process had ended, but that he has advanced the decision that has seen the future of popular accusations, which, he said, “try to extend the cause.” This Wednesday, these accusations – which leads the pseudosindicato clean hands and among which are also PP, Vox and organizations of the ultra scope – have requested that the brother of the president and Gallardo himself for crimes of administrative prevarication and influence peddling crimes be condemned to three years in jail. A day later, this Thursday, the Prosecutor’s Office requested the archive of the case.
The socialist leader has insisted that his movement now responds to a strategy to recover the presidency of the Board. “I do not want to be president, I want to win to be president. And to win, I am president, it is essential to be in the temple of the word and, above all, in the place where each and every one of the proposals moves,” he insisted, to add that he adopts the decision after asking him for “many colleagues.”
To get a seat, one of the socialist deputies will have to resign and four candidates for parliamentarian will have to resign to leave Gallardo. In this Friday’s press conference, the leader stressed that “many colleagues” had already transmitted his willingness to “step back” so that he can take “a step forward.”
The president of the Diputación de Badajoz has not set a date to abandon the presidency of the provincial institution: “I like things to be done well. I want a quiet transition. I want a transition in the Diputación de Badajoz Transparent, which does not affect the institution and that will require some time and logically we must also talk to the provincial direction so that what we do, we do it well,” However, Gallardo has advanced that in the next few days we will work to implement the strategy so that he can take possession of his deputy minutes in the Extremadura Assembly “as soon as possible.”
The regional socialist leader, who has been marking distances with the federal executive in matters such as the financing of Catalonia, has launched his announcement after a meeting to which the former presidents of the Board Juan Carlos Rodríguez Ibarra and Guillermo Fernández Vara have also attended. On the meeting, he reported that, once the party’s congresses have passed, it has served to address the future challenges “for the next two years” and define the strategy to combat the one who considers “the worst government that Extremadura has had.” Gallardo stressed that the two socialist presidents have underlined the need for the Secretary General to be in the center of politics, and hence their entry into the Assembly of Extremadura.
Regarding his position as president of the Diputación de Badajoz, he assured that if he were a president such as María Guardiola, “from Tuesday to Thursday”, he could make the position to the end of the legislature but that his goal is to surrender to the assembly so he makes the two positions incompatible. “If you ask me, will you give up the Badajoz Diputación? Of course, it can’t be otherwise.”
