
Several videos of a violent police intervention in the city of Valencia have unleashed controversy on social networks. In one of the files, recorded from a window, several agents with extensible batons hit a woman and throw her to the ground. The events occurred this Saturday at 3:00 p.m. on a street near the Joaquín Sorolla train station. The National Police has assured El País, that the intervention was produced by the alleged commission of a crime of threats with a white weapon, although they do not give much more information because the “investigation is ongoing.” There are at least three injured agents and five people have been arrested, but the police do not specify the injured of this part.
In another of the videos, recorded from the street in front, several agents hit a man who starts running and chasing him closely in the images is seen how one of the agents tries to kick him. A few meters later they push him hard inside a portal and he is no longer seen.
The detainees is Layli Colorado, a 26th Colombian young woman who has lived in the city for three and a half years.
