This Sunday, the Civil Guard located a body on a beach in Melilla washed away by the strong east wind storm that hit the autonomous city. According to police sources, it is a man whose age could not be determined due to the poor condition in which the body is found after being at sea for a long time.
The strong waves have dragged the body to the beach of San Lorenzo, in Melilla, very close to the marina of the autonomous city, where the Civil Guard located it early this Sunday.
As EFE has observed, several patrols from the armed institute traveled to the beach shortly before nine in the morning, including several agents from the criminal unit. In a first examination, the agents have only been able to determine that it is a man due to the advanced state of decomposition in which the body was found, which they have covered with a blanket while waiting for its removal to be ordered.
Melilla is one of the regions that is being affected by Storm Emilia, which this Saturday forced the activation of the yellow warning due to easterly winds of up to 60 km/h and waves of three meters until the early hours of this Sunday.
