Civil Guard agents saved yesterday the lives of a woman who was unconscious in the bathroom of her home, in Cullera (Valencia) and after being alerted from abroad by her daughter.
About 20.50, the daughter warned the emergency services that she could not contact her mother, the Armed Institute has reported.
A Civil Guard patrol immediately moved to the home and requested the collaboration of firefighters to access the interior, not getting any response from abroad. The agents and firefighters accessed the house after jumping the perimeter fence and forcing one of the doors.
Inside, they located the woman in the bathroom, unconscious and with weak breathing, so the sanitary protocol was activated.
The medical services stabilized the woman before evacuating her to the hospital. Thanks to the rapid intervention, coordination between Civil Guard, Firefighters and Health Services, “a potentially serious outcome is avoided,” they have highlighted.
Almost a third of people over 65 suffer from falls every year, mostly at home.
