The headquarters of the US Embassy in Tel Aviv suffers “minor damage” due to the close impact of an Iranian missile
The US Embassy office in Tel Aviv suffered “minor damage” for the last Iranian attacks and the impact of missiles in the vicinity of the building, confirmed the US ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee.
“Our US embassy and consulate in Israel will remain officially closed today due to the confinement order. Minor damage was recorded due to the shock of Iranian missile impacts near the embassy headquarters in Tel Aviv, but there were no injuries among US personnel,” he said in his X Huckabee profile.
Already on June 14, the US authorized the voluntary exit of relatives and some employees of the US government who were not in an emergency. Those who stayed in the country remain refugees in their homes.
From Sunday night, as well as this morning, Iran launched missiles and drones against Israeli territory, as a retaliation for the aerial offensive begun by Israel at dawn on Friday against nuclear, military and high positions of the Iranian regime.
While the Israeli army does not reveal the unusual missile impact points, in total 18 people have died in attacks, according to the last figure of emergency services, most in cities located on the periphery of Tel Aviv such as Bat Yam or Petah Tikva. Also in the city of Removot, about 20 kilometers south of Tel Aviv, the Weizmann Science Institute building was practically ruined after a missile attack, without causing victims.
The north of Israel, the Northern District of Haifa, has also been the subject of attacks and, that same night, Iranian missiles impacted here against the largest oil refinery in Israel, located in the Bay of Haifa and causing a fire, according to social networks and information on the Fire Service.
