National Police agents have dejected this Saturday at 16.50 to a man who allegedly tried to dock a taxi driver who was at the regular line bus stop of the Gran Canaria airport, as explained by the Canary Headquarters of the Canary Islands in a statement.
According to the police, during the police intervention after the attempt to robbery, the aggressor pounced on the agents with the weapon, so they were “forced to repel the attack by regulating their guns.” Immediately, emergency services of both the airport and the Canary Health Service were activated, which tried to revive the individual, subsequently confirming his death.
During the afternoon, agents of the National Police have remained in place, including Judicial Police personnel, the scientific police brigade and the homicide group, instructing the corresponding procedures, says the police.
